How to view a reconciliation report

  • From the left side navigational panel, click on the Reports menu.
  • In the Find Report by Name field, you need to enter Reconciliation Report.

How to export a reconciliation report to Excel

You can’t just directly export the reconciliation report to Excel from QuickBooks Online. This is one of the few reports in QuickBooks that can’t be exported. Follow the instructions mentioned below to manually export the report.

  • First, you need to highlight the data that you want to transfer.
  • After that, right-click on the information and select the Copy option.
  • Then, open the Microsoft Excel or any other excel program and copy the information.
  • You may need to adjust the lengths and widths of the column on the Excel report so that all the information is visible.
  • Once all things are in the perfect place, click on the Save button.

Important Things to Know About Reconciliation Report

  • This is a type of Static Report i.e. If you have made changes in the company’s information then those changes will be not visible in the reconciliation report. But the changes you made will affect all others in the QuickBooks Online software.
  • The balance that you see in this report is the balance of all reconciled transactions on the other hand balances that shows in other reports are based on the recorded transactions. (NOTE: In QuickBooks Online, all the transactions are reported as soon as you post them into the software.)
  • In the Bank or Credit Card Register, all the transactions that have an R status are classified as the reconciled transactions.
