  1. Backup your company file
  • Open QuickBooks Desktop
  • Go to File > Back Up Company > Create Local Backup
  • Now follow onscreen instructions to create a backup

Solution 1: Restart the QuickBooks Desktop Software

First of all, confirm that QuickBooks Desktop process DBW32.exe is turned off and not running in the background.

  • Click the Windows Start button and type taskmgr and press Enter, this will open the Windows Task Manager.
  • Click on the Processes tab so that all processes running on your computer gets displayed. As in Windows 10, if tabs are not displayed then go to the arrow button More Details at the bottom.

For Windows 8 & 7

Solution 4: Update your video card drivers to the latest.

  • Open the run command by clicking Windows key + R on your keyboard.
  • Type dxdiag and press Enter.
  • Go to Display 1. Note what the manufacturer/ model is.

7. Re-register the QuickBooks Program File

  • Firstly you have to open the company file location.
  • Then you have to go on bat files and right click on it.
  • Then you have to select Run as Administrator.
  • Now your Bat file run with Windows Administrator rights.
  • After the bat file utility completes the windows close down automatically.
  • Now check that QuickBooks desktop is still displaying same issue instead.
