      This Error 1303 occur If there is no full control privilege for the system group or the directory mentioned in the error in each group. This error 1303 occur because of these main reasons:

      • The system group does not have full control privileges.
      • The everyone group does not have full control privileges.

      For the solutions of error 1303, you need to know the error and then follow these given below steps for easy and quick solution for error 1303.

      To resolve the QuickBooks error 1303:

      You can use the QuickBooks Diagnostic Tool or try manual steps to fix the error. There are 2 steps to solve these error.

      Step1- Run QuickBooks Install Diagnostic Tool and Download:

      1. Download the QuickBooksInstallDiagnosticTool.exe file that will try to resolve this problem.
      2. Save the file on Desktop that is used.
      3. You can double-click on the file to run the tool.
      4. Select the first option in which I have problems installing QuickBooks and click OK.

      Step 2- You can Manually fix the issues:

      Use this solution if the device has not solved the problem or if you prefer the manual troubleshooting steps.

      Solution 1: Edit permissions for the proper folders

      Manually change the permissions for the system in control and folder C: \ Documents and Settings < All Groups for All Users.

      1. In your keyboard, press Windows + R buttons together to open the Run tab.
      2. In the Open field, enter Path C: \ ProgramData \ COMMON FILES \ and select OK. A window opens and displays folder contents.
      3. In the Folder window, click Organize, then select Properties.
        Windows 10: Select Properties on the top ribbon of the folder window.
      4. In the property window, go to the Security window.
      5. Press the Advanced button.
      6. Press the Edit button.
      7. Scroll the list down to permission entries and double-click the system user.
      8. In the allow columns, choose the checkbox for the full control row and press OK.
      9. Repeat the steps with each group (if it exists).
      10. Check the box labeled all existing legacy permissions on all descendants with inheritance permissions from this object.
      11. Right-click both in the Advanced Security Settings window and then in the COMMON FILES Properties window. Now, Install QuickBooks Desktop.

      Solution 2: Turn off File Sharing

      1. In your keyboard, press Windows + R buttons together to open the Run tab.
      2. Copy and paste these files in Run windows RunDll32.exe shell32.dll, Options_RunDll 0 and enter.
      3. In the View window, scroll down of the Advanced Setting list.
      4. Clear the use of Simple File Sharing (Recommended) check box.
      5. Choose OK and proceed with the QuickBooks desktop installation.
