Well, in order to set Printer to print checks in Quicken you must aware of a few things.
Note: Checks cannot be printed on regular printer paper. And compatible checks can be ordered from Intuit. As Quicken has separated from Inuit, but Intuit is still our preferred check supplier.
Following are the steps by which you can set up a printer easily:
At first, you need to choose File menu > Printer Setup > For Printing Checks.
Now, from the Printer list, select your printer.
Next, choose Page-Oriented.
After that choose the check style you are using.
Again you need to choose a full page source, and if necessary, a partial page printing style and a partial page source.
Just ensure that the printer turned on is online, and is located with blank paper or a sample check.
Then click Align.
Although Check 21 is a federal law and it was enacted to help banks in order to handle more checks electronically. As there might be possibilities that scanners may reject checks that use an incompatible font size or style in the numeric dollar amount field.
If you want then you can print only checks from Quicken that use Arial(font), Regular(font style), 10 pt(font size) in this field. Though the font style and size of all other typed fields do not interfere with the Check 21 restrictions. Therefore, it’s an added advantage for you to again have the flexibility to change this information in Quicken.
