Can you find the QBWIN.log or QuickBooks.log files?

QuickBooks Desktop writes messages about what is happening in QuickBooks to a specific log file.

QuickBooks Desktop writes messages about what is happening in QuickBooks to a specific log file.

You may be asked to examine the QBWIN.LOG file to be able to determine what is going on in your QuickBooks company file. We are using some steps:-

1:- First you open the Your QuickBooks company file.
2:- Pressing the F2 key to open the product information window(or, Ctrl-1 if F2 doesn’t work).
3:- after this step press the F3 Key to open the Tech help window (or, Ctrl-2 if F3 doesn’t work)
4:- Click on the Open File tab.
5:- Scroll down to find QBWIN.log and click on it to select it.
6:- Click the Open File to open the file.

After all steps, you can also click the path on/off button to display the path of the file if you want to go to it directly.

Rebuild Data and Condense Data utilities. QuickBooks.log file review data damage recorded by QBWIN.LOG, press Ctrl+F and enter “Begin Verify” and find the last entry of Begin Verify on your log file.QB Mac the file is called QuickBooks.log
