Can anyone help me to resolve QuickBooks Point of Sale Error 176103?

I am a new user of QuickBooks, this error is disturbing me since 2 days.

This occurred  When I  am trying to access for validate a QuickBooks for Point of Sale Desktop license, and displayed a error message ie.  Error Message 176103: Unable to activate the product.

Hi Rafel,

The reason behind this error is:

    • Maybe your computer’s system date set incorrectly.
    • You entered wrong validation code for an upgrade copy of Point of Sale
    • Maybe the entitlement is damaged.
    • The license number is incorrect

Follow given solutions to fix this error

Solution1: Make sure that the validation code is entered correctly

Solution2: Go to the system tray to check the computer system date.

Solution3: Display all hidden files and folders.

Solution4: Delete the contents of the entitlement folder.

Hello Rafael,

I know this error code 176103 is frustrating in QuickBooks because I also faced this error sometime before.  I will provide you best solution to resolve this error.  This solution is perfect because I tried it.


  1.  Make sure the validation code is entered without hyphens or spaces.
  2. Check the computer’s system date. If date and time incorrect, please correct it.
  3. Validate the product again, inserting the prior version CD upon request.
  4. If the problem is not solved, uninstall Point of Sale, delete the contents of the Intuit Entitlement folder, and reinstall Point of Sale:
